Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern use of the Machine Soko marketplace (the “Platform”) operated for buyers and sellers of industrial machinery, parts, and related services in Kenya.

1. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration details and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

2. Marketplace role

Machine Soko provides a marketplace and related tools. Unless expressly stated, Machine Soko is not the seller or lessor of listed goods or equipment. Contracts for sale, lease, or supply are between the relevant buyer and dealer.

3. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Platform, attempt to circumvent fees or integrity controls, harvest personal data, or post unlawful, fraudulent, or infringing content.

4. Listings and content

Dealers are responsible for the accuracy of listings, documents, and communications. Machine Soko may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these terms or platform integrity rules.

5. Payments

Where payments are processed through the Platform, you agree to the applicable payment and escrow rules shown at checkout. Off-platform payment requests for Platform-introduced deals may violate the Seller Agreement and integrity policy.

6. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Machine Soko is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from marketplace transactions between users. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Kenyan law.

7. Changes

We may update these terms by publishing a new version on the Platform. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms where applicable law allows.
